From 18 February, the State Revenue Service (SRS or VID) has introduced a new early access mobile app "Mans VID". It allows residents to conveniently and securely use the most popular tax services on their smart devices. The app has been developed to simplify the handling of everyday tax matters and to make communication with SRS more accessible for both residents and entrepreneurs.

IN SHORT
  • With the app, you can submit receipts for eligible expenses and manage your electronic salary tax book;
  • Receipts for medical and educational services are automatically added to the annual income tax return;
  • The app is available free of charge starting from Android version 12 (available on Google Play here) and iOS version 16 (available on the App Store here);
  • Authentication is possible via Smart-ID, eParaksts mobile, eID Scan, and certain internet banks. Read more about secure authentication tools here;
  • SRS promises to gradually expand the range of services available in the app.
CURRENT "MANS VID" FUNCTIONALITY
  1. Submission of eligible expense documents. Using the app, you can take a photo of receipts for medical or educational services and send them to SRS Electronic Declaration System (EDS), while also ensuring that the documents are automatically attached to the relevant annual income tax return. Read useful information about the voluntary annual income tax return here.
  2. Management of the electronic salary tax book. In the app, you can also conveniently perform actions related to your electronic salary tax book - this is an electronic document in the EDS where applicable tax reliefs are indicated. Through the app, you can mark the tax reliefs you are entitled to, specify the workplace where the reliefs should be applied, and add or remove dependants (for example, children or a spouse).
